Climate Promotorx was first used in the summer of 2012 to engage residents in signing up for weatherization programs. We have continued to use this model to engage our community in conversations about climate action and environmental justice. The organizations have hosted over 100 climate promotorx that have gone on to conintue to ensure our community is engaged in critical conversations with the city.

We engage residents through:

  • phonebanking

  • blockwalking

  • mutual aid

  • people's movement assemblys

  • 1 on 1 support

  • connecting residents to city programs

  • supporting mutual aid programs

  • crowd canvassing

  • healing clinics
