Our grassroots coalition is on the ground talking to neighbors and bringing awareness to changes coming to CPS Energy in the form of a rate increase and disconnections for non-payment that could affect up to 100,000 ratepayers and growing. We are petitioning city council to demand a moratorium on disconnections, no rate hikes until the rate structure is fair, and a plan to close down the biggest polluter in our region, Spruce Coal Plant.

Climate Colectiva is a project of Southwest Public Workers Union - Centro por la Justicia rooted in climate justice and energy democracy principles working to build community solutions for protecting our water,land and people from fossil fuel extraction and contamination. Our summer to fall campaign targets one of our biggest polluters, CPS Energy and their extractive practices on the land and people.
